Health E-Insights: How will technology change your company in the next few years?

Mr. Tobin: The growth of any company works hand-in-hand with the advancement of technology and that is true with our company as well. The oral thin film industry will advance with our recent new proprietary technology of being able to load more active ingredients on a strip than anyone else in the industry. That new technology allows NSDS, Inc. to produce oral strip products with enough active to meet the requirements of the scientific clinical studies for specific ingredients that will benefit the health and wellness of others.

Health E-Insights: Do you think the supplement industry will fully embrace social media marketing?

Mr. Tobin: I believe social media marketing will have a gradual but strong influence in the success and growth of the supplement industry. The products that focus on condition-specific issues such as weight management, stress relief, energy, vision and other support products should advance well with social media marketing. NSDS, Inc. is presently working on several social media marketing projects that will be released in 2012 in association with our Strip Melts fast-melting oral strip products.

Health E-Insights: Do you use Facebook or Twitter?

Mr. Tobin: Presently, as a company, we are not using Facebook or Twitter but it certainly will be part of our near future product release program. We are aggressively working with a celebrity marketing company as we speak today. We also have been experiencing fantastic networking results with LinkedIn.

Health E-Insights: In what direction do you see the supplement industry moving?

Mr. Tobin: I see the supplement industry moving toward a type of pharmaceutical level of product development utilizing ingredients with scientific clinical studies in support of both the ingredients and total makeup of the finished products. NSDS, Inc.’s proprietary Strip Melts fast-melting oral strip products are manufactured in a Class 10,000 OTC and Rx FDA-approved facility, cGMP and cGLP compliant. We are very proud of the fact that we develop products using Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) approved ingredients, supported with clinical studies manufactured in an FDA-approved facility that uses a Validated Operating System referred to as PAT (Process Analytical Technology) software that electronically capture in real time all of a project’s in-process data.

Health E-Insights: If it existed, would you drink from the fountain of youth?

Mr. Tobin: Great question. However, since I feel a personal responsibility for my safety as well as the safety of others, I would need to first read the supplement facts box and review the human clinical study before taking that first sip.

Health E-Insights: What would you invent if you had the opportunity?

Mr. Tobin: Another great question. Since I have designed and invented several products and new technologies for several different industries, I am not sure I have a single invention answer. However, I have a number of questions about our human development and accomplishments from our past and where we will be in the future. I would like to invent a time machine for time travel. Just imagine how much a person could learn to then advance human conditions for the present.
